1. 募集概要
本法人では、視覚障害を有する留学生の受け入れを行い、適正かつ公平な選考を実施します。本募集要項に基づき、留学希望者の申請を受け付けます。
2. 募集期間
願書申請受付開始日：2026年3月23日
願書申請締切日：2026年5月5日
3. 応募資格
・日本で理療を学び、帰国後自国の視覚障害者の職業自立に向けて活動する、という学業の目的を有する者。
・重度の視覚障害を有する者（２０歳前に初診のある傷病によるもの）
・本法人の求める日本語能力（日本語能力試験N4以上目安）および点字能力(日本語点字の読み書き｟五十音、単語や簡単な文章など｠の読み書きができること。）を有する者
・申請時点で20歳以上30歳未満である者
・外国において、日本の初等・中等教育における１２年間の過程を終了したもの、または終了見込みの者。
・日常生活の基本的な動作を自立して行える者
・健康状態が良好であり、留学生活に支障がない者
・来日後、留学関係費用については、本人に支給されるもので支払うことに同意する者。
・本法人において事前相談を受けている者
4. 募集人数

・願書（学歴・職歴を含む、発症日も記載）
・自己推薦書（学業成績や出席状況を含む）
・視力障害の状況や健康状態を証明する書類（健康診断書など）
・推薦状（学校・視覚障害者団体等/必要に応じて）

6. 選考方法
1）書類審査
2）面接審査
3）留学適用能力審査（2か月間程度のオンライン授業）
4）最終審査（必要に応じて追加面接・補足書類の提出あり）
7. 選考基準
・学業の妥当性
・語学能力、点字能力およびコミュニケーション能力
・志望動機の明確さおよび適性
・健康状態および留学適応能力
8. 選考日程
最終審査日：2026年7月10日
合否発表日：2026年7月30日
9. 合否通知
最終選考結果は、選考終了後1ヶ月以内に通知します。
合格者には*手続きに関する案内を送付。不合格者には結果のみ通知し、個別フィードバックは行いません。
10. その他
・提出書類は返却しません。
・不正行為が発覚した場合は、選考対象外または合格取り消しとします。
・募集要項は必要に応じて改訂されることがあります。

International Association for the Visually Impaired (IAVI) - 2026 International Student Application Guidelines
1. Outline
IAVI welcomes international students with visual impairment and conducts fair and impartial selection. Applications from prospective students will be accepted based on the following guidelines.
2. Application Period
Application will be accepted from: March 23, 2026
Application deadline: May 5, 2026
3. Eligibility Requirements
* Individuals with the academic objective of studying therapeutic medicine in Japan and, upon returning to their home country, working towards the vocational independence of other visually impaired individuals.
* Individuals with severe visual impairment (due to illness or injury diagnosed before the age of 20).
* Individuals with the Japanese language proficiency (Japanese Language Proficiency Test N4 or higher preferable) and Braille proficiency (ability to read and write Japanese Braille [Japanese syllabary, words, and simple sentences]) as required by IAVI.
* Individuals aged between 20 and 30 years of age at the time of application.
* Individuals who have completed or are expected to complete the equivalent of 12-year primary and secondary education in Japan prior to arriving in Japan.
* Individuals who can independently perform basic daily living activities.
* Individuals in good health who will not be hindered by their study abroad.
* Individuals who agree to pay for their study-related expenses after arriving in Japan with funds provided to them.
* Individuals who have received prior consultation from IAVI.

9. Announcement of Results
Final selection results will be announced within one month after the selection process is completed.
*Successful applicants will receive instructions regarding the application process. Unsuccessful applicants will only be notified of the result; individual feedback will not be provided.
10. Remarks
*Submitted documents will not be returned.
*If any fraudulent activity is discovered, the applicant will be disqualified or their acceptance will be revoked.
*The application guidelines may be revised as needed.
